My name is Madeleine, I'm seventeen years old, I was born in Auckland, New Zealand but I live in Melbourne, Australia, and I'm currently completing my last year of high school.
I love words, people, films, zines, music, theatre, documenting temporary things like emotion and memory into something more permanent like a poem or a photograph, and looking out the windows of trains watching trees blur into one body of colour.

I created The Chromatic Index in 2014 as a place to share primarily what I'm creating and working on but also to document what I'm inspired by. I don't really know how to define myself yet: I'm not old enough to be a individual of stable absolute nouns, slashes and self importance, but I hope one day to give you a few of the words bubbling in my head that you can call me by. Until then being a student and constantly creating are my two occupations: whether the process of creating ends up in the form of written, auditory or visual means.
